Since 2000 I have been visual director for
multimedia performances held across Canada for the Yukon Government
Department of Tourism. With my associates at DNA and Plughead Productions, we
have produced shows which combine live performance including song, music and
dance, with powerful visuals and audioscapes produced in the field and
studio. Creating 3-camera panoramic synchronized video footage, doing
parallel editing and using multiple video channels for synchronized
multiprojector playback (we have used up to four video tracks and nine
projectors), the result has been powerful immersive performances which have
received standing ovations from Vancouver to Halifax. We love what we do, and
look forward to the next project of epic proportions. |

Another recent
multimedia performance incorporated video, prerecorded music and live throat
singers, drummers and storytelling at the Canada Summer Games closing
ceremonies in 2005. The event marked the invitation to attend the Canada
Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon in 2007 through a display of northern
culture and icononographic imagery of the land and wildlife, which was
broadcast live across Canada. |
