Projects and Portfolios
Remote Sensibility is the theme
of my current artistic practice. Using the parameters of new technologies in
interpreting and reflecting landscapes, I wish to provide an experience of the
many and complex layers of meaning and relationships between global industrial
culture and the Earth. In this process, art may question assumptions and
dualities, providing a contemporary vehicle for sensitive relationship with the
planetıs remote places.
What is moving about
light and form? Perhaps it is when, as with a note of music, the play of light
and dark penetrate our thoughts to strike a deeper place. The cascade of light
over a shoulder, a cloud, a ridge, a waterfall, may resonate in a way that we
describe as beauty. Is the experience of beauty the moment our egos dissolve,
erasing the division between ourselves and what we behold? Cascade of Light
explores these qualities in the numinous light of the the Yukon.
